How do I make an AI video of my car flying?

Is there an app that makes your car fly from a single photo? Here is how it works and what you get.

Updated Oct 17, 2026 · By the Tesla AI Video team

Tesla AI Video is a web tool that turns one photo of your car into a 12-second AI video of it jumping off a ramp, flipping and landing, or gliding low over a row of traffic. There is nothing to install. Upload a car photo and make your flying car video. Tesla AI Video is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with Tesla, SpaceX or Elon Musk.

Is there an app that makes my car fly from a photo?

Yes: Tesla AI Video does it in the browser on a phone or computer. You upload one car photo, choose a ride and a screen shape, and about four minutes later you download an MP4 with no watermark. It is a paid tool with no free tier. See pricing for what a clip costs, or the full how-to.

Should my car flip off a ramp or fly straight through the air?

Tesla AI Video offers both, and the choice is the ride you pick. A full flip off a ramp is the look of the Roadster demo of October 15, 2026. Flying over traffic is a low, level glide with no flip. Here is how the choices map to the rides:

A full flip off a rampYour Car Takes FlightYour car climbs the curved ramp, turns over in the air and lands on a burst of thrust.
Fly over traffic, no flipHop the TrafficYour car climbs the ramp, then glides low and level over a row of parked cars and touches down. It is the only ride that skips the flip.

All four make a 12-second clip. Browse them on the rides page.

Does my car have to be a Tesla?

No, any car works. The short answer and the details on photo and size are on the Your Car Takes Flight page.

Which car photo works best?

A photo that shows the whole car from a three-quarter angle in daylight works best for Tesla AI Video. The model needs to see the front, the side and all four wheels. Use a clean background, avoid heavy reflections, and skip photos where part of the car is cut off. Only upload your own car or one you have permission to use.

What are the limits of an AI flying car video?

  • It is AI parody, not real footage. Label it as AI when you post it.
  • Badges, wheel designs and fine details can drift, and no exact likeness is guaranteed.
  • The flight is a short ramp jump, flip or glide. Tesla AI Video does not show sustained flight, and neither did Tesla. See what the flying Tesla demo actually showed.
  • Photos of celebrities, public figures and minors are blocked.
  • If a result looks off, the fixes guide explains why and what to change.

Questions

FAQ

Can I make my car fly in a video without editing software?

Yes. On Tesla AI Video you upload one photo of the car and the AI draws the whole 12-second scene, so there is no timeline, green screen or compositing to learn. You get an MP4 to download. The flight is a short ramp jump, flip or low glide, never sustained flight.

Does the car in the video keep my car’s colour and shape?

Mostly. The AI copies body shape, paint and wheels from your photo, so a hatchback stays a hatchback. Badges, wheel designs and small details can drift between frames, and no exact likeness is guaranteed. A clear three-quarter photo in daylight gives the closest result.

Is an AI flying car video real footage?

No. It is AI-generated and should be labelled that way when you post it. It is fan parody of the October 2026 Roadster ramp demo, not footage of your real car and not official footage from any carmaker.

What if I would rather fly a car I do not own?

Pick Drive the Flying Supercar and upload a photo of yourself instead. The car is an original red two-seater with no badges, so no real car photo is needed, only a clear picture of you.
